BIOGRAPHY Roman Šedina (*1982) is a renowned Czech ceramist and artistic solitaire. His talent developed during his studies among ceramic masters in the mecca of Czechoslovak ceramics, Bechyně, where he built on the strong, centuries-old local tradition. With maturity, patience, passion and an eye for detail, he transmutes ceramic clays into living objects imbued with inspiration. During 25 years of continuous practice, his hands have shaped large vases and installations that significantly transform any space, bringing his signature originality to one of the oldest crafts. With his approach to creation, he makes us aware of the timelessness of our environment. Roman's large vases are owned by public and private collections at home and abroad. He has won numerous awards for his works, many of which can be seen in Czech and European galleries and museums. In addition, he has launched several art projects that aspire to become independent collections, including LIFE OF VASE (2017 to present), based on collaborations with selected artists, designers and other creative personalities.
